About Gus

Gus Harmon is the sound guy next door. Thirty-odd years of making other people sound good.

Gus spent three decades running sound wherever somebody needed it: bar bands, weddings, school shows, and twelve years of Sunday mornings. He can't sing a note. He can make sure you're heard. Now he writes so normal people can buy the right thing the first time.

This site is for everyone who loves music (or just owns a microphone) more than they understand it.

What this site does, and doesn't

Every page here opens with the plain answer, in the words you'd actually use to ask. No lab coats, no spec sheets up front, and no pretending: when Gus hasn't had his hands on a piece of gear, the page says so.
